According to newsweek.com, Barresi is writing a book called 'Pellicano's Enforcer' about how he helped former private eye Anthony Pellicano protect celebrities from negative stories.

In one chapter, which is posted on the net, he tells how someone came to him trying to sell him a story about Cruise and how Cruise's team got that story killed.
