Health officials said informers would be given Rs.10,000 for every instance where information of sex determination tests or illegal abortion of foetus was found true.
Health authorities said show cause notices have been served on four ultrasound centres in Kaithal town for violating provisions of the Pre Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PNDT) Act.
If these centres fail to furnish satisfactory replies their registration will be cancelled and their ultrasound machines will be sealed. Anand ultrasound centre, Apollo diagnostic centre, Modern diagnostic centre and Sanjay ultrasound centre have been served notices.
