A man was convicted of various theft charges, after prosecutors say he stole computers from the courthouse while he was on trial for computer theft.
''It just amazed me that someone could be in the middle of a jury trial for a burglary involving computers and immediately get involved in another burglary at the Civic Center,'' said sheriff's Sgt. Jerry Niess.
Jon Houston Eipp, 39, of Novato pleaded guilty Monday in three separate cases involving 10 different charges, including burglary, theft, drug possession, attempted auto theft and more.
A Cambodian refugee featured in a recent documentary on Asian immigrants was arrested on suspicion of stabbing a 19-year-old Pacifica man in a dispute over a parking space.
The victim, Boris Albinder, died Saturday morning of stab wounds suffered during a brawl just after midnight near a club in the city's Richmond District, according to police.
Albinder's friend tried to reserve an empty parking space for him in front of the club when a van pulled up and tried to take the spot, police said.
Albinder, the son of Russian immigrants, was stabbed while trying to help his friend fend off as many as five men who attacked him, investigators said. He died later that morning at San Francisco General Hospital.

CONCORD, Calif. (AP) -- An 84-year-old man suffering from West Nile Virus died and authorities are trying to determine if the disease killed him.
The county's health department also reported that a 68-year-old Concord man is the seventh county resident to test positive for the virus. He contracted the disease on Sept. 5 and has been hospitalized.
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- A former Sonoma County priest and accused child molester whose body was found in a friend's home last week died of a heart attack, according to an autopsy.
There was no evidence of criminal activity at the Windsor home where Donald Wren Kimball, 62, was discovered Friday, sheriff's Lt. Robert Giordano said Monday.
A jury in 2002 convicted Kimball of molesting a 13-year-old girl in his room at a Healdsburg rectory more than 20 years earlier. That conviction was overturned the following year after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a California law extending the statute of limitations for sex crimes involving children.
Kimball also served prison time for his February 2003 conviction for felony assault and vandalism after shoving a newspaper photographer and throwing her camera on the floor at the time of his molestation trial.
