Phan Chinh Thuc, head of the Education and Training Ministry's Vocational Training Department (VTD), said 30 vocational training centres would be built by the end of 2007 with an aim to raise the rate of trained workers and supply more workers to the technical sector. From now to the end of 2010, the VTD also targets raising the rate of trained workers by 26% (Nguoi Lao Dong).
Vietnam has some of the highest abortion rates in the world. That was the finding of a recent study conducted by the Centre of Gender, Family and Development Environment.
